Why does it feel like everything just...shifted?
We've entered a new astrological portal until 2028
This past week, you may have felt an energy shift. Something feels… different. It’s like our whole direction in life is shifting, and it feels like we are being called to something greater. Something beyond what we ever thought was possible. What we’re feeling is the Lunar Nodes changing signs for the first time since January 2025.
The Lunar Nodes are two opposing points in space. They’re where the path of the Sun crosses the path of the Moon. When there is a Full Moon or New Moon near the Lunar Nodes, it is an Eclipse. A New Moon becomes a Solar Eclipse and a Full Moon becomes a Lunar Eclipse. We get two “eclipse seasons” a year, and each season has 2-3 eclipses depending on the year.
Eclipses are incredibly powerful portals that create change, transformation, and massive shifts. For about a year and a half, the eclipses occur in a pair of signs, always in opposition to each other, as denoted by the Lunar Nodes.
There is a North Node and a South Node. Symbolically, the North Node represents where we are being called. We are being challenged to take on the qualities of the North Node, and often experience challenges in getting there. But it feels like this is a destined craving to achieve it. The South Node exposes shadows and represents a shedding. It also represents where we find ease and what our ‘crutch’ is. The key with the North and South Node is that they work together like a constant balancing act. It’s not about letting go of the South Node entirely and only going toward the North Node– it’s about utilizing the strengths of the South Node to help us integrate qualities of the North Node to find true balance in duality.
Since January 2025, the North Node has been in Pisces and the South Node in Virgo. Overall, this brought up themes including:
Understanding your physical health (Virgo) as a way to achieve emotional health & awareness (Pisces)
Letting go of judgments and criticism (Virgo) to expand your sense of unconditional love (Pisces)
Finding the greater purpose (Pisces) within the mundane parts of life (Virgo)
Connecting the physical plane (Virgo) and the spiritual plane (Pisces)
Review the themes above and ask yourself how you’ve developed and changed in these areas over the last year and a half.
On July 26th 2026, the North Node entered Aquarius, and the South Node entered Leo (yes, the Nodes move backwards through the zodiac). They will be there until March 26th 2028. Overall, this may bring up themes including:
Shifting your focus from the needs of the ego (Leo) to the needs of the world (Aquarius)
Harnessing your creative talents (Leo) to make change in a greater mission (Aquarius)
Letting go of the need for validation (Leo) so that you can focus on what really matters (Aquarius)
Understanding how you can personally make a difference (Leo) in your greater community (Aquarius)
Start to intentionally hone in on these topics so that you can make the most out of the next year and a half of eclipses.
